Nothing and nobody is a big deal to an alpha, in the style of a cat or James Bond there's an almost academic indifference to whatever it is you encounter. Civilisation was built by beta male fathers; all that stress, responsiblity and obligation towards a better world is not at all alpha. Civilised alphas are always lesser alphas.
