heavensmile: we need intelligence to solved the problem of life and we need wisdom the avoid the problem.
So...if there is problem, we need intellegence, but to make decision we need wisdom.
It's not always the case, that intelligence solves problems. We have "so called" intelligent people ruling the world, but I don't see any positive solutions thus far!
The wise person must first KNOW the fact that allows them to apply that fact as wisdom, by choosing to act on it or not,and how. No matter how much or little intelligence existed at the beginning of a journey, that wisdom cannot be attained any other way,but by time and experieces. :

I was reading recently a story told by a 140 IQ mensa dude who went shopping for a new suit which had to be bought within a very strict budget. An hour later the 140 IQ mensa dude realized a young shop assistant had got him to spend three times the amount of money he had been determined to stay under.
It depends whether you're talking specialisation or life in general. Einstein was a brilliant physicist but not a very wise man. The problem with being the upper crust in talent, money or brains is not really understanding the people who aren't this.
Einstein was a hardline socialist because he assumed intelligence in other people. Progressives very often and in differing ways ask too much of mankind because they lack wisdom. A society can be somewhat socialist on the condition that it is relatively intelligent, sophisticated and homogenous. Diversity and teach the world to sing, however, are the unwise bit. This is one example of intelligent people assuming intelligence in people who are not. Wise socialists know that the common good requires people to have things in common, and not just any old common, a higher grade of common. In addition to a culture of strong fellow-feeling the average IQ of the nation needs to be 95 at the least or nothing socialist will work.

Even intelligence has to bow down to wisdom sometimes.

Which goes to show that we learn more by failure, than success!

Thats also happened to me on many occasions and I don't consider myself to be an intellectual!
