I have some ripple and eth.
and they lost value since them.
I just keep them. I don't use them for trade while they were developed for that purpose.
so they failed....

it seems normal in an economy with excess money that money flows in useless expensive things.

and big governments printing money will create a outflow of money.
either savings or to useless...

I had a dream about it.

No more paper money or credit cards,

Ur implant will be connected to the AI computer taking over the world, that will control ur finances too.

U will just be the human extension of this computer as it will have robotic AI's too.

I do like the idea.
because saving money is worthless.
you die, you loose.
you can't insure it all.
money needs to flow. not be saved

Len05: I like the notion of an expiry date on money.
or a certain loss of value by time.

inflation kinda has that but it seems to be somewhat about digital money.
Money has lost it's meaning.

Just a figure in a bank's computer hard disk.

Same as the world AI

Globalization

Of everything u hold dear.

Nothing will have value anymore

As nothing would really b urs anymore !

In the 70's a nice pair of leather boots with full leather lining, and stacked leather soles and heels costed $30.

Now, that same pair of boots costs over $300.

And, you used to be able to drink coffee all night in a restaurant for 25 cents...

The real value of an ounce of gold? $20.

ChesneyChrist: It's another way of earning a passive income reflecting the fact that data is increasingly what's most valuable about you, not your toil. Potentially blockchain technology is a threat to artifically induced scarcity and poverty and a threat to the people who want a harsher life so they can feel heroic for enduring suffering; it's a threat to the whipping horse and its master.
Things need to be got right, however. Blockchain will do to banking what the internet did to the media, and we will have social banking. Now the important thing is that an anti-capitalist sentiment pervades so that this passive income accrues partially to the human race instead of exclusively to Zuckerberg.

In the near future there won't be any money that you can touch, everything will be electronic money, everyone will be forced to use virtual money. Then an staged EMP will make everyone go from low middle class to rat poor overnight.

MikeD12: I agree - Since it was introduced there have been many cases where many folk who invested via supposedly authentic accountants, qualified Financial advisers, agents. Lawyers etc have ended up being conned into losing their life savings and made bankrupt. .
exactly, so many false rumours that to me it is a no go area, for example the OP mentioned Musk, but that was a rumour spread to make money,
“I literally own zero cryptocurrency, apart from .25 BTC that a friend sent me many years ago,” Musk said in a tweet on Thursday. That’s about $2,500 as of Friday evening. From last weeks Fortune site. others have also fallen into the trap, Branson invested around 30million of his own money into the UK version with the idea of creating Virgin Crypto-investments
