Poor listening skills combined with an overwhelming interest in immediate selfish concerns and often projection, too. Self-absorption is not simply a case of being busy or not interested, self-absorption is to do with the nature of your preoccupation. You talk at others, self-absorption stages conversation with others but you're only waiting for the other person to stop talking before you continue to talk. It's not the same as musing to yourself like keeping a diary, other people do exist but they exist as objects rather than personalities.------ This thread is Archived ------
