We hear about them a lot. Economies bemoan them, as in DRC and Venzuela. Countries themselves use claims of such to bully others, as Jews in the Levant. But often it's personal. Took Bravo to see a doggy dermatologist yesterday to have a suspicious ulcerating lesion on his cheek removed and sent to pathology. Low probability of cancer, but.... As fate would have it, I might be in a similar situation,k with much less life danger than serious worries, but..... Both of us are iin such situations for the first time, but as all know, with age, this type of thing gets more common. Triggers fears, thoughts, plans, etc. What to do? How does one handle it? Family issues? Spirituality? Few athiests under fire in a foxhole, is an old saying. Aa-V

Threats.... Check the source first.

I would question the one interpreting the test results as well.

Years ago, I was "diagnosed" with a terrible illness. I it wasn't true. I believed something was stopping my body from healing. It was designed to heal...I needed to find the cause. Once removed from my diet and lifestyle, my body was able to do what it was supposed to do. No "sign" of the illness for years!!!

So, remember the original design or plan.
Check for possible obstructions.
And definitely be leery of who is interpreting the signs!!

Hoping for the best!!!

Thanks, as always, LJ and K. Well, the doggy dermatologist eyeballed the lesion before sending it to the lab, and doubted cancer. She's got much more training than the usual sawbones vets. For me, the lab test climbed so high so fast that doc and I doubt the worst. Lab error result? Exam was also more consistent with benign inflamation, but I'm a bit of a nervous wreck. A bit of knowledge is a curse sometimes. Worry most about the girls (and my family, friends, patients). I've lived a long life. But still lots to do. Just getting warmed up here! Aa-V.

I have a friend who's doctor told her, She doesn't have a hernia or pulled muscle that she was seeking help for...

She has an infection or cancer; and it's probably not an infection.

So she got antibiotics and an appointment for removing her lymph nodes...

She got so depressed she let her dog go; and couldn't take care of her fish, and let them die...

Yesterday she met the surgeon; and he told her, She has a pulled muscle or hernia, and doesn't have an infection or cancer...

She felt so good, she asked me to bring her some more fish (I trap them live, in a local stream.).

Don't let yourself be brought down by a bad diagnosis.

Don't let yourself be brought down by any diagnosis; because, doctors only practice medicine.

Your attitude has a lot to do with how you feel, and whether or not you ever get better.

Yes, MK. Thanks. Well, I'm quite far from even a diagnosis, and even if there's a cancer, these days it's very treatable. But you and Kaylana are right on target. Doctors are generally pretty good at their craft, but for everyone thing they realy think they know, there are many others they only guess at. That's why the best of them are humble. We all should be so of course. I'm simply over reacting and sharing the human frailty with the CS crowd. But death is a topic we all think of, but who really likes to discuss. Mahalo.
