If you mean forumers you may be right , many say they prefer RL or to be more precise local dating, but I believe there many who are really looking for a partner on CS and ready to take a chance despite the distance and other circumstances...

Krem, U have been here longer than me, and the heartache from a LDR, is very bad. Not many people want to experience it more than once. The thing is people don't really want to leave and go to another place, with everything, sometimes their kids and animals and family and friends left behind. It's really unfair on both parties, or just people in general. It should not be required or expected.

pKrema: I've been in a LDR years ago I know what it takes... I am not afraid of doing it again... If you really believe that this person is everything for you, you can take your time and make it work... Many say they won't sacrifice their comfort zone to be with someone for the sake of it but they are also not prepared to do the same for the one they'd want to be with...
In my life I have been offered jobs in Wales, UK, America, Bahrain, and I said no to all. The same with men, they always expect the woman to move, and I feel that's grossly unfair. I could have stayed just about anywhere by now, but I prefer my country, so it breaks up, and nothing will make men change. Then they talk about feminism.
Yes finding someone on sites like this which is fairly local is hard unless you live in a big city. Yes I can understand people not wanting to move miles if they still have children living home or near by to be with someone and also you could be leaving long term friends as well.

If they AREN'T prepared to make SOME SACRIFICES, then the relationship ISN'T going to "work" ANYWAY! So GOING WOULD BE stupid! Right ON, PK!

Well, people only rolling the dice if lucky they will meet the 'click' person from here. I've met a man from here, had LDR for months, and decided to meet, then was planning to get married. Funny story
