I've often thought about reincarnation in the sense that there have been times when I've attended an outing to a certain place for the very first time but when I arrive it feels very familiar too familiar.. As the hours pass with my friends I'm silent on my way home trying to figure why my night or day with my friends is a place I've been to before.. The events of that day/night I had done before but I hadn't and I know I'm not losing my mind.
Shirley Maclaine is a true believer in reincarnation have listened to her numerous times I'm on the fence as I think there's a chance that I may of had dreams way back when I was young and maybe just maybe those dreams are places I remember..

This is possibly the best way to find someone on these threads, as I've looked for Mercedes without any luck. Perhaps her posts are few and far between.

I don't believe in it. Who could make it happen and why would they want too. I just don't think mankind is special enough to deserve endless chances at life. It keeps me consciously aware that nothing is certain and as we do for others always returns to us, be it in this lifetime or another. One of my past lifetime I was an Indian woman, I'm sure of it, and I wanted my freedom desperately, so this life I had to be white to reach that end. But the world is changing fast by allowing women her freedom to chose to live and travel by herself.
I believe our thoughts guide us towards our intentions from one life to the next. Be careful what you want, you might just get it, is the rule. Somewhere deep down I sense that I might have been Chinese but if so it's very far back. And if you consider that there's more stars in the universe than human beings on earth then it makes sense that we might return to another milky way outside of our current galaxy. They all things that can be thought are possible, it just means stretching your mind further.

For the reincarnation to be true it has to be zero sum. The total number of souls remains constant since the beginning of the universe. Otherwise the reincarnation falls into own contradiction. Because each soul will be recycled into different form of soul through the repeating process of life and death.
The increase of human population is the result of decreasing number of souls of other species whether it is mice or bacterium. If it is not zero sum then it implies a single soul can be multiplied to more than one, which itself will reject the reincarnation as true premise.
Then question is whether a single virus can be counted as a soul or not.
Believing is self brainwashing behavior to regard unproven or untrue fact as being true. When something is true, the act of believing is unnecessary. No one prays every day by reciting a verse to believe the earth orbits the sun. We just live with the truth without any effort since it is true and proven.

Stronghead, we have no proof of anything of a spiritual nature, but we are allowed to believe whatever suits us and indeed should be. 
One to note. It's not weird to allow your imagination to flow, after all even einstein said imagination is more important than knowledge. 
But on a more serious note, there's more than one reason that compels me to believe that there is life after death in the form of reincarnation.
