Here we have biparty preferential voting, which means it will only ever be Labor or Liberal running the country. There used to be a big difference between the two, but almost none now, in regards to their policies. So we vote for the less crappy candidate, not which one has better policies. Any you get fined a few hundred bucks if you dont vote.

I have always voted based on who I thought was best for the job...are they more likely to maintain the status quo or are they more likely to make the best decisions and required changes on behalf of those they represent....

And what gives a Swiss man the right to tell Americans HOW they should live, and WHAT they should do? If you'll remember, kind sir, the constitution that exists, was created THROUGH THE BACKDOOR, by way of a war of change/revolution! Or have you forgotten that part? One thing that people seem to forget, we Americans tend to be an UNRULY lot! Always HAVE been. And HOPEFULLY, always WILL be! And you'd be best served to let us fight amongst ourselves. We're happy and pretty harmless, when left to our own entertainments. But when you start trying to tell us what and how to DO - ANYTHING - we'll STOP fighting each other, and gang up on YOU!
