that's good definition of oppression, and the peace will be disturbed again due to the very nature of oppression....probably in a different more winnable manner....as the loser bides their time. That is what happens when oppression rather than understanding and consensus is used to obtain agreement.

I can't completely agree, but I am not from a socialist ot communist tradition. What best serves society is happy individuals. So the the differing beliefs are often exactly that - disagreement over what best serves the group. No individual should be made to suffer at the will of the many. Becoming aware of them is the first step, realisation that they are causing yourself and others harm the next step.
Finally the hard part, creating only thoughts that are virtuous and beneficial to yourself and those around you.
Just try, if only for one day to keep your thoughts positive and peaceful, see what happens, you may be pleasantly surprised.
