used to have short hair that i dyed diff colours and styles etc. Was a punk rocker back then .I love long hair so decided to grow mine out. 
I now heavy metal style besides everybody tells me not to cut it cause it suits me. Being an artist an all.

I would imagine it's also nice for a guy to be touched from his partner showing that finds him attractive as well. I actually do that, cause men need that as much as women. thanks . I got bought up this way and i like it so stay like it. Alot of women don't like it. Sometimes I wish I could be a rebel for a day without guilt. But I don't cause would feel guilty forever after.
