I was living with my grandparents until they both died and I know how stubborn old people can be. Sometimes they just don't want your help, even if they need it and you quarrel about that all day long and sometimes you just give up and say: "OK, do it alone if it's so important to you!". This is the first thing that came to my mind when I read your story. laugh

However, we don't know the real story behind the event - we can only imagine. smile

Lookin4missright: I was sitting in the carpark having a smoke before i went into s/centre to do some shopping ....

A mother and two kids were walking in front ... the granny (I'm guessjng) she got out of same car..... The granny had a leg problem ... The daughter or daughter in law didn't give a fluff!!! About her loved ones mum/mom ...

Have you ever been ashamed of a parent or ... or any member of family???

I have and regret it till this day blues:
My dad likes to cause a scene wherever he goes and although I find it hilarious it's not easy to explain the confederate flag in his kitchen.

Packersbabe1: They were walking in front of her, probably cause she was walking slow, I’m sure if she needed some help she would have told them to help, really doesn’t say they were embarrassed of her either
Or maybe they could of walked slowly with her?

Not many of the elder generation ask for help. I think walking besides her would show they care and are including her.

If they walked beside her they would've been hit by a car, not mushroom in carpark.

Well most people don't walk in single file unless alone. Even on car parks. Public highways possibly. I guess it depends how crazy two people are.

So what was it you were hoping to see?

I would've liked to see granny in front and daughter looking out just incase she fell over or something. Not getting to shops saying to kids ... where's old Doris got to laugh
