1. Open Settings, and click/tap on the Devices icon.
2. Click/tap on Typing on the left side, and turn on (default) or off Autocorrect misspelled words for what you want. (see screenshot below)
3. Turn on (default) or off Highlight misspelled words for what you want

Tulefell: I've moved to a new computer and it turned out that there's no spell checking installed. I know that in order to get it, you have to upload a dictionary from the net - I did it once, but I don't remember how I got there. Sure, you can live without spell checking, but I would like to have that function nonetheless.

If you are on windows 10 , there is a magnifying glass for searching this sort of thing . Click on it then type in "autocorrect settings" , settings come up for you without long drawn out searching your computer------ This thread is Archived ------

I made a mistake to start reading first book of a trilogy by Mike Nicol, should have left it for holiday. Now I cannot stop, so I bow off.
