A little bit 
Just watched a doco about a program run in a women's prison where they fostered retired racing greyhounds under the guidance of a trainer
Each woman was allocated a dog for 8 weeks, aiming at helping them to get comfortable in unfamiliar circumstances (having been institutionalised, as were their foster mums) and then find their forever homes through adoption programs
Needless to say, bonds were formed during that time and then they had to say goodbye to their doggies
It was very moving and made me

Yes Lookin I'm sad today thinking about how short life is and how unclose my last living older brother and I are.When he and I are gone that will be the last of my late parents children.All it will leave are the Grandchildren.Great-Grandchildren etc to carry on.

mmm, my dad got murdered in Spain 1984, my mum will soon go, my only brother isa arsehole, my only son is gone/immigrated without telling me ...when we 2 boys go too, our memories of a family & a different world stretching back to the settlers & the Boar War, Gallipoli, The Great War & WW2 will disappear into a gigantic cosmic black hole, ggrrr
