Regarding Chivalry today... the reason I say Chivalry is history is for many reasons. One example is evacuation procedures when a Ship sinks today versus days gone by. I myself would yield life boat seating for family women and men, but I doubt Iām going to sacrifice myself for any total strangers.
When the costa Concordia went over it was every : "It was every man ā and crew member ā for himself." According to the story, men refused to prioritise women and children and fights broke out for spaces on lifeboats..ā
So, why should men sacrifice themselves for women in these kind of situations as well as others? Yeah, I think chivalry is dead.
galrads: I think chivalry is long gone today, so, is a frequent tickle pickle on a motorcycle bucket seat in the garage romantic enough?
And what does romance mean for you?
E.g. Cuddling up in front of the fireplace with a soft blanket, lots of hugs and kisses and holding hands....with something nice to chow on and drink....nice and comfy and warm....with the man in ur life....telling stories....lovely....
