Yes, there are many both men and women that they do read profiles. Many on all sites are scammers and need to be stopped. Hang in there and if it be God's will it can happen.

I for sure read them. For some reason, I mostly get guys responding to my profile that are way too young or widowed with children still at home. . . Maybe I accidentally put that in my profile???? I honestly think guys must do a search on women with no kids and THAT's how they end up with me. . . It's sad that that seems to be all that respond to my profile.the last girl i dated posted on her profile that she liked to watch Curling. when i mesg her i said i thought that was odd. she said i was the ONLY one to say that.

It is oddI love reading profiles and looking at their pictures! It's actually a must do for me!!
The profiles are fun to read, but they get a bit repetitive sometimes as a lot of them say the same things and try to come over as the perfect person. It gets a bit sickly.
The humorous ones are the best I find though as they are more original. You can make some very good friends with those people.

I found it hilarious how a few of the men would respond and cut and paste into their email to me. They respond to a profile based on looks not usually on the content of the details.

I read every single one that I click on. I find I can glean a lot of information about a person by what they type. dumba** spelling mistakes? Too lazy to use spell check. Makes me wonder how else they are lazy. Bragging shows a risk of being an arrogant jerk. Nothing typed in for a profile? They aren't serious about finding someone. The ability to be articulate in the written word shows intelligence.

I would beg to differ. Just because someone doesn't write well doesn't necessarily show lack of intelligence. Using your logic everyone who is intelligent should be able to write best selling books.
