I can't imagine how one would be in love before starting a relationship. This is something that happens over time spent with the other person. Being in love is important to me, rather than the falling in love - that is a more superficial and fleeting thing.
Mayako: Do you think that you fall in love a lot easier or harder now than in the past, when you were a lot younger? Or - is it all the same for you?
Is "falling in love" very important to you? Do you easily fall in love?
Would you start a relationship with someone even if you aren't in love, but simply like or respect a person?
Firstly, I would have to be really attracted to a man and secondly, know that over time I would grow to love them with all my heart before committing to a relationship. Time is always precious; yours and theirs!!!
As some of us mature, I believe that we have a lot of love to give but it is tightly secured deep inside of us. Trust, understanding, patience, time and love will unleash it! Seeing love blossom and grow into something really special is worth waiting for in this world of Love-on-Demand!!!

I think i'm impervious to it now, Maya. I much prefer being single without having to consider anyone. Sad perhaps, selfish for sure, but it's the freedom... and others not having any expectations of me.
Give me a best buddy gal pal to travel with, talk and drink beer.

It also sounds nice.
There are phases like that in life. It will probably pass in time.
I used to fall in love quite quickly....I tend to take my time now....but one thing that doesn't change is my effort when in a relationship I always give it 100%.
