I agree though I have to say that even in person I have found that there are so many people that are incredibly more and more like what I have seen online and of course some of the early days where many of the bars were also mental institutions. Now it seems like we are in a very different world. To meet a genuine person to interact with even on a casual friend basis seems like something that is lost to what we call the World today. But, I think that hopefully there are a few of us out there that are not living some alternate universe....but so far I can not say who they are. (not kidding at all) Friend or a lover doesn't matter at all...

no, not "doomed", but like I just posted it does seem like more and more people are with very different standards and not for the "better" it seems. Just like they have their heads buried in their cell phone as they walk boldly into oncoming traffic! LOL>.. and in amazement I see them untouched.... or maybe that is an illusion. I haven't been on a date for ten years B, I find it very scary...Virtuality and phones have turned us into something else, made us more exclusive to our own imaginary wishes of reality...
I don't want to get too deep in a puddle ...and that's what we get (mostly) on internet...

It has been about 9 years for me so I know exactly what you mean. LOL.. even tonight I am going to see a band but that is with me nephew! At least he and I like some of the same music so I don't go alone. I could, but at some point it lost the appeal to go to many of these events without sharing them with someone. And again I am not even going to go into the "dating" bit. I know it could all change but I have not had even a glimpse or that feeling as though something is about to surprise me. I am at (or close) that point of cashing in and doing some things while the desire is still real and seems like fun.
