The wonderful thing about joining in group outings is meeting people with similar interests already, taking the pressure off of conventional dating while taking the time to get to the person on a casual fun outing with others, and meeting people (males and females alike), who may become wonderful friends.

Re car maintainance: there are 8 or 9 (doesn't matter percentually) brazillions people on this poor planet. Apprxmtly half of them are men. Up to 65 years age there are more men than women in "good countries". In "bad" countries they kill female babies, so the male/female ratio even lower... well....

The majority of women i date have been reasonably normal.Women get more argumentative when Thor testosterone levels increase.
Couples seem to forget that they are on the same team & it shouldn't be a competition.
