Harbal: I don't mind what kind of strange mystical things people believe as long as they don't try to pass their beliefs onto me.
There is a fine line betwen eople saying what they believe in, and them pushing it onto others. Many don't see that line. I am quite agnostic and open at the same time.

Some people don't actually push it but it makes me feel in an uncomfortable position when someone I don't want to offend (yes, that does happen occasionally) starts going on about reincarnation or something and I don't want to be dismissive of it but neither want it thought that I go along with it.

Just politely (I know that's difficult ) but firmly say that you respect their viewpoint but it is not yours.
Molly, once a door has opened and you've looked through it, you can't pretend you haven't seen what's on the other side. There are times, albeit rarely, when I wish I could go back to my former state of ignorance, but it's just not possible.
Harbal: No but they can do your head in by insisting on giving you the directions. Nevertheless, bod, I respect your views even though I don't share them.
No point in giving someone directions to London , if they don't want to go there. It's the same with spirituality, when the times right for a person, they will look for themselves and follow the signs.
