My dog figured out that if it pretended to pee when I let it out, it would create more opportunities to wander about outside sniffing at things. What it failed to realise was that when you pee on the ground you leave a wet patch. My dog ain't as smart as it thinks it is. dancing dog doh

How long has it lived with you? If it was exposed to your wits too long...

I rest my case :)

Maybe it was an air-pee to warn other dogs away.
Maybe you aren't as smart as you think you are.

1. Wrong - dogs are flock animals and they pee in order to transfer information about themselves and attract, not warn away, other dogs.

2. No one is so smart as they think they are, so we got rid of a compounding variable here. Ain't it a relief?

Dogs are super intelligent. They appear to know everything you say to them. I believe, they will try and succeed to outwit you at times! cool

1. It was just a short mentioning of a simple fact, but you are wellcome nonetheless :)

2. I have no dogs myself, my baby-girl though has a large Vovve. I'm his favourite sheep - he thinks I'm his responsibility and behaves thereafter. Rather charming :)

There is a theory that dogs see blue and yellow far better than black and white

Ours likes to play with a whole halv-ball that's dark-blue. Dunno though, if it's conclusive for the confirmation of this theory :)

I'm not sure if it's more than a theory at this stage but I came across this

Yea, mine will go for blue most times, unless it's a luminous yellow/green tennis ball laugh

Given the size of dog's brain and the fact that it understands you better without any studies than you with... you certaily is smarter.
