The GBP was worth EUR 1.40 not that long ago; now it's hovering just above 1.10. Sorry, I just posted a fact! doh

Leaked.......
Police chiefs could be forced to call on the military to tackle civil disorder in the event of a "no-deal" Brexit, according to a leaked document.

Contingency plans drawn up by the National Police Co-ordination Centre warn that a possible shortage of medicine could "feed civil disorder" and a rise in the price of goods could see "widespread protest which could then escalate into disorder".

There could also be a rise in acquisitive crimes such as theft, along with massive traffic queues at ports, leading to "unprecedented and overwhelming" disruption in the wider road network.

But Home Secretary Sajid Javid said the public need not worry and that departments had to "prepare for all possible outcomes".

He told BBC One's The Andrew Marr show: "I don't expect a no-deal outcome but we need to prepare for all contingencies and it's absolutely correct... I'm not going to go into what the situation may or may not be but I think it's fair to say we're preparing for all contingencies.

"This is an unprecedented situation but most important of all we must keep focussed on the deal and get a deal delivered but at the same time every government department should prepare for all possible outcomes."

He added: "I don't think people need to worry."

However, the report added that there was a "real possibility" that soldiers would be deployed and police would have leave cancelled around the date of the UK's withdrawal from the European Union in March next year.

Some police forces would need "widespread leave embargoes" and others, such as Kent, are expected to unilaterally cancel rest days and leave immediately after 29 March.

Brexit was voted on and people voted to leave the EU, so I don't want to see another vote on this, cause I know it would be fixed, cause labour and tories both want to remain in Europe...the people have spoken!!! they don't want mass unlimited immigration, they don't want unelected crooks dictating how we live our lives, they don't want the UK's money not being in the UK and they know the experiment of multiculturalism is a massive fail

Wiston churchill wanted the UK to have THREE spheres of influence after WW2. They were:

1.) A special relationship with the US of A
2.) The commonwealth
3.) Europe

Winston was in favour of a united Europe but I believe he meant a united continental Europe that didn't include GB (which was and is not part of the continent).

However, I believe strongly in a united Europe that includes the united Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Why? The EU and NATO have helped keep the peace in western Europe for longer than at any time in recorded history.

I also believe that there should be only about five or six economic trading blocs in the world and that we should be part of one of those blocs (i.e. the E.U.). It's a lot easier negotiating with four or five other blocs than making individual trading deals with a couple of hundred other nations.

Anyway, all my friends are pro BREXIT. I disagree with my friends. We have not fallen out. I am glad that we live in a democracy that at least allows free speech though I am prepared to be shot down in flames by the fervent BREXITEERS who have posted here.

Peace on you! cheers
