I went to a CS do in Cyprus once several years ago. I took a couple of friends with me (two American girls studying in Malta for double Masters degrees). It was a total disaster. We had more fun afterwards listening and dancing to a group in the hotel. Shame!

I organized one a few years ago in limerick and it was an enjoyable event...
This would be a bit more open ended, find a big enough pub to meet and if the take up was good enough 'get a room' for said function, perhaps even some live music (from Simon and myself) with a disco for afters...
I'll leave it here for your consideration...
The last one I organised, I got a room in a pub. It was a mezzanine room, so it was part of the pub, but still private enough. It worked perfectlyEnd of November, before the Christmas rush...

Sorry - above was negative. There was a group in Malta that met quite a few times. A great success!

Both Malta and Ireland have quite a lot of singles on square km, judging by this site. Get-together? Why? You certainly bump into each other in real life all the time.

I have only ever met one person at a get-together that I might have bumped into in real life. And he met someone at that meet that he is now engaged to

So many obstacles... What the point in a get together? A lot of organisational pain, an evening spent in a company of strangers and then back to... square one. I'd understand Spain or Italy or Greece in May or September: you can see that a part of a holiday. But Ireland in November?

Sometimes there's a square two... Relationships have been known to spring out of meets, sometimes the expected didn't happen and the unexpected did... This time around, if it goes ahead, it's likely to be some drink, bar food and a bit of 'craic' (Irish for a good time)... Id actually be happy however many got together, people nearly always manage themselves into groups... As for November, sure, why not....we'll not be seeing any significant change in the weather for the next six months...I'd understand Spain or Italy or Greece in May or September: you can see that a part of a holiday. There would be nothing to stop you if enough people were interested in a meet... The site has provision for getting meets organized, I found posting on the forums was the best communication tool, but that was 2013, and the Irish forums were alive with activity... Id say now, uptake here will be small, unless forum 'onlookers' sign up...buy hey, give it a go....you've got nothing to loose by trying...MiMiArt: It’d be nice to be able to go....
Sorry, I meant, there would be nothing stopping you from organizing a meet in your home country...but you'd also be welcome in Ireland as well...
