Sigh.... This video contains several assumptions and errors. Plus it is packed with an appeal to emotion.
1. It assumes that CO2 is bad. ~ While it admits that trees use CO2, it negates the fact that CO2 is essential to plant growth.
2. It assumes that CO2 levels are increasing. ~ There is a natural “checks and balances” of CO2 in the atmosphere. It can only reach a certain level.
3. It assumes that once a forest is cut, the land in that area is unable to use CO2. ~ First, forests regrow at an amazing speed. Vegetation quickly covers the ground as black/ open soil is like a wound. The earth sends in roots and seeds to cover it. ~ If there was an increase in CO2, the vegetation would grow all the much faster. Remember - CO2 is natural, normal and essential to plant growth!
3. That panting trees is a possible solution. ~ The natural checks and balances of other gasses will slow the rate of growth if there are “too” many trees. Think about a seed tray if the whole seed package is planted in a tiny area. The growth is weaker and poorer. Cutting, pruning and spacing allows for healthy plant growth.
4. Does anyone remember studying Carbon dating or Carbon half life? ~ Carbon is essential to sustaining all life. The CO2 beaks apart and continues being a part of life on Earth.
5. We cannot simplify things down to a single cause or a single solution. ~ If there truly was a problem, one “alteration” is not going to change the purported course.
Trees are vital for the ecosystems around the world to survive, and trees also give oxygen and absorb carbon and other pollutants. Trees are our friends, we have to make sure we don't wipe them out like we do everything else we touch.

I agree with this, Track. My point is that we over estimate our influence and underestimate the Earth's capability.
Foresting is happening all around me here in the countryside. I also see how fast and furious the Earth regrows the forest.

It's not in danger of being wiped out.
America is said to have more forest now than it did 100 years ago. Smart and selective harvesting will make sure we have plenty of product and not put any particular forest anywhere in danger. Unfortunately that won't happen with things as they are now in the world.
