Better break up your country, than the rest of us in EU.-
I couldn't believe it in 2016 when the leave vote came in... I'm not a politically driven individual, but I respect the value of open boarders and free trade... And before I hear a thousand and one reasons why I'm wrong, it wasn't a landslide, it was a way of giving the government of the day a bloody nose from a disenfranchised voting public who's been sold a dream of imperial promise...jolly good until the decision made has effects that no one has planned for... There isn't the old 'sun never setting on a little piece if england' anymore, Britain is not the industrial powerhouse of days gone by, Britain is a bit player in a global marketplace....why on earth they would not want to continue having the power of the EU by their side is a mystery to me... I'm expat living in Ireland now, so I don't have any skin in the game, but I believe this will not end well... The captains of industry warned of brexet and its consequences, so now we sit and watch from the sidelines as it comes spectacularly undone ....

It's in the interests of some people to rain on our parade, May is doing her best to get a good deal for the Irish borders as well, but if push comes to shove cut them loose.
jac_the_gripper: Sorry, but which country does Theresa May think belongs to her?
Did she mention anything about the other British countries?
Exactly May's proposal is treasonous - WE should make our own Laws and what is never plugged by Biased politicians and media, is the Fact that if we stay IN - Before we can trade with 2/3 of the world outside it Great Britain will still have to go Cap in hand to seek permission from the Committee of Fascist dictators. That includes our own colonies and those who chose to remain in our Commonwealth after Independence.

is doing her best against the EU who wan to control Britain, you are living in the past Mike if you think differently, May is pro British people. 'm ok with the idea of a no deal Brexit, and dropping Ireland. WE can trade with the rest of the world for us. and not have Europe dipping into our pockets.

Why wouldn't you leave first and then parade?
Just as a hedge against a tiny possibility of being ridiculous if the future shows that you were parading prematurely.
aries1234: No chance we will not bail Greece out AGAIN
Sorry to inform you that your National debt is 1.8 trillion... I would be real worried about Brexit if I were you. English laws are not as humanistic as EU laws... you could be wearing a hair shirt for a long time!!
ChesneyChrist: Why should I or any other taxpayer pay for your Thai bride? e.
Get the facts right and don't make assumptions - For Your information - 1. I still pay tax too at the same rate as you if you are not on the higher rate. 2. Since 2016 Mays Financial status rule applies to ALL nations.outside of the EU .

Be glad the Brexit will be. The Netherlands and the UK are almost the biggest payers of the EU.
The EU has one currency, the Euro, but people working in the rich countries are earning more an hour than the poor countries. So all poor people coming to the rich countries, getting an unemployedment benefit the rich countries have to pay.
Why not say: You are from that country, that country will pay your unemployedment benefit? Of course the taxes on their salary should also go to the poor countries. Maybe then it will work.
The system was set up in a completely wrong way. If income and prices in stores were equal through Europe would be the same, the system might work.
Still Europe is inviting poor countries to join the EU, the rich countries have to pay for it.
In my country, since we got the Euro in 2002 everything has become 2.5 - 3 times more expensive, but the salaries hasn't risen 250-300% maybe just 15%. So the common man who has a normal salary is feeling it in his wallet. 15% more salary but he can do less with it.
This all because of the wrong decissions of the EU. I hope the Netherlands will follow after the Brexit, because the UK is leaving we will have to pay more to the EU.

Most likely scenario: Brexit is quietly shelved, by the politicians who didn't want it in the first place.
Second most likely scenario: The government proposing a "deal" so unappealing to all sides that the government confidently put it to a public referendum, knowing it will be rejected, and Britain can go back to business as usual and forget Brexit altogether.
Third most likely scenario: London is bombed by a squadron of flying pigs, causing Brexit to be shelved "temporarily" while the situation is normalized.
