A few criticisms were leveled at me in the comments of my Dear Western Europe, from an Eastern European video. So this is me answering those criticisms.

Eastern Europe is the youngest place in the West and the only part to experience suffering at scale. But what's important is the direction, the 1990s was their worst decade and their future is bright because of this. The West is the same old dead men with the promise of more failure yet to come, we're right in the middle of the bad times created by weak men who never had it so good.

The great recession doesn't seem to have made blind bit of difference to the spending and lifestyle habits of the old. But the young is a different story - a renewed interest in STEM subjects, meat-free days, bothering to vote, budgeting, the end of Club 18-30. These are all ways in which the new generation is responding to real world conditions, to meet challenges you have to be young enough to adapt to them, the typical white 60 year old may represent decay and decline in all things, but nothing is permanent.

think someone mentioned end of nationalism might have been French President Emmanuel Macron who was joined by US President Donald Trump, Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau, Russian president Vladimir Putin and German chancellor Angela Merkel even the Australian Governor General attended.
Over 60 heads of state and government took part in the solemn ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the French capital.

Someone mentioned end of nationalism something about no one controlling nation think about then Donald left soon after.
Consider deeply dear fellow forum members!!

Yes, you were. In fact the big thing about Eastern Europe is that you guys avoided a lot of the Economic mistakes of the Western Nations.

Politically you guys are in a mess right now, but economically you guys were and are fine, the sneering of the arrogant trolls notwithstanding.

Bulgaria being very poor country can be seen as something we could claim, a big setback. This setback situation was considered very striking surprise, for me and, if those agree, because in early 20th century to 1945, Bulgaria used to be one of the wealthiest nations in Europe.

So what could have driven Bulgaria up to down so humiliating like that?

It should be aware that Bulgaria was formerly a communist state under Soviet satellites. And because Bulgaria was under heavy Soviet influence of centralizing and commanding economy, weak international connection and totally cut off from development, Bulgaria went down very fast. At 1920s and 1930s, Bulgaria’s wealth was big and developed one; but in 1980s, Bulgaria was like nothing.

rolling on the floor laughing

Most of the Arab countries owe us money, millions of dollars...
We exported everything to anywhere in the world, we produced computers when you were striking in the streets in the 80s...
Bulgaria was independent from The Soviet union and only a ignorant person would say that...
Don't get me going, please, it's hilarious...
