FZ was, and still is my favorite American rock musician / composer...
Going from early stoner rock to neo classical, if there was a genre, Frank covered it at some point or other in his career... Not just a musician, a social commentator, satirist and later diplomatic special envoy... It's been said by those that worked with him that he was a consummate professional, and in fairness, if you worked for the Zappa group, you're future was assured in music... Jean luc Pointy, Ainsley Dunbar, Ruth Underwood, George Duke, Chester Thompson, Vinnie Coliaouta, Terry Bozzio, Adrian Belew, Ed Mann and Steve Vai number a few of the Zappa alumni...
