deedee123xo: No but my sister took her kids there.

Would love to go and see it and do the tour.
Have you been?
Yes, two years ago... I took someone there for the day, and usually, I do the whole 'tour guide' thing with my lads, but this time we had Sarah as our guide, and she was superb, really knowledgeable....
You can do a guided tour up to the battlements or you can take yourself around, which is what I'll do next time... It really is worth visiting, the history and the strategic significance is fascinating... If it's an OPW run attraction, it's free to enter on the first Wednesday of every month...

Irish beaches can really be winners, I've got kilkee, Quilty, white strand traught and salthill all within an hour of my place....the dogs and I are blessed...
Here's a little known treasure, 'the green lane'... In between bell harbor and kinvara Co Galway, there's a track/boureen that runs parallel to the coast road with a 200/300 foot elevation inwards of the burren landscape.... Dee, the view from there will take your breath away... Take binoculars if you go, it a view you don't want to miss...

You so lucky with that many beaches.
Kilkeel wouldn't be too far from me either once I take the ferry in Tarbert that is.

I love to hear of new places, especially beaches and walkways...the beach would my go to place for a lot of reasons...

Yours sound fab...with the beach burren and walkway all together...

And finally tonight....
If you have the time, and you're in the Clare side of limerick, Quin Abbey in Quin, Co Clare, I've recommended this to Anna earlier on in the thread... A small version of the rock of Cashel would be how I'd describe it, but unlike the rock, Quin has its own cloisters and quadrangle which are quite superb... If I get one thing out of my work, it is that I get to visit some amazing places...
And now, I must sign off and hit the hay...
Goodnight... wave
