If you go back 600 years to a time when Europe was just emerging from feudalism it was the Chinese poised to dominate the entire world, and yet they simply chose not to. They turned the ships around and said no we're going home. And the Japenese did something similar, shutting themselves away for over 200 years. It is amazing that a teacher geography at high school in the '70's told us that in the 21 th century there would be no more conflicts between nations but between ideologies and blocks of countries with the same ideology.
I must admit his prediction became reality. How will the blocks cope with this? As long as money ( capitalism) overrules the ideologies it can be kept under control . What if the financial world will get a total collapse??

Malfidus, your teacher's prediction is amazing only if you do not consider Communism a religion. Of course, since I do, it's just more of the same. The Latin root of religion means a lived philosophy. God is irrelevant.
As for the great Chinese threat. They do have the capacity to disrupt economics.
If you think they can make China a monolithic state or have already done so, you need to study both history and the Chinese peasant. Communism is an east-coast religion like it is here in the States.

Well, who can blame china for putting muslims in camps, for muslims are a serious threat for the whole world. See what they did in the USA (9-11) spain, France, Belgium, England and so on. And then all the bomb-attacks in their own muslim countries.
As long as muslims form a threat for the people in your country, I guess a camp is the only solution.
In my country the secret service have to control many radical muslims, actually so many that they don't have the capacity to control them 24-7.
But when someone is attacking in our country the government calls it an incident, and the killer was suddenly suffering from a brain-disease when they started killing. So they can't be held responsible and will be send to a kind of hospital-prison where psychiatrists are talking to them and curing them.
Well, don't make me laugh, for these hospital-prisons don't work.
When the shrink is thinking the patient is almost cured he will be allowed to go outside regularly with, or without a guard. Of tern they escape and start raping and killing again.
The dutch system is rotten and the government are all liars.
We've lost about 5 ministers of justice in the last 10 years all through mistakes and scandals.
And when they're finished, then suddenly they return as a minister of infrastructure or something else, or they become chief of the biggest companies.
It's disgusting and it makes me sick.

It is not happening in The Netherlands alone, it is everywhere in Europe except is the post communistic countries. They show they got balls and deal rigorously with the problem resulting in a disapproval by the EU Parliament but encouraged by its native people.
I believe if people want to integrate we must give them an opportunity,but if they fail or refuse....no mercy !

Today he is the almighty Chinese leader for life who doesn't tolerate any criticism. Everyone who does will be eliminated (=disappearing).
He and Chinese communists have a longterm strategy to conquer the world with their ideology.
First by making the countries economically dependent and if they can't pay their debts then also a political control.
His device is " power can only exist by fear" . The fear for violence .
Today China takes over the power in South East Asia. Nor Japan, nor The USA or the surrounding countries dare to react strong by force!!
In Europe they own already the harbour from Pireaus (Greece) and the Airport of Toulouse (Fr)!! In Djibouti they installed their first military base!!
They take advantage of the European dissension - look what political problems the financial crisis caused! - to split up Europe again!! And it works!!! Greece and Hungary are the best examples. Also Portugal (socialist government) had to be stopped by EU for its credits from China.
The greedy Europe with his unpopular savings drove this countries in the hands of China and Russia!!
Now the populists and their facist idea's are again rising stars, this migth be a threat for the future.
In Africa China is conquering the continent by his credits and by building a infrastructure, the labour is done by foreign craftmen not natives. These are unreliable and lazy. The reality is they don’t wanna give or leave any penny for the people of Africa.
So the debts of the counties are rising and the power of China increases! If everthing goes by plan then China will be the most powerfull country in 2050!!
It might be possible but things could change fast. The problem is that nor Europe nor the US have a longterm political strategy Russia and the China do.
So .........wait and see.
