mollybaby: The counter-argument to that is that girls who are brought up by single dads turn into testosterone-fuelled woman-haters. Would you agree with that?
Or might it possibly be that children who are reared properly turn out to be well-adjusted humans, no matter who rears them?
I think children are influenced by the parents , in role model capacity . If a boy is raised solely by his mother , then yes , he will pick up some female tendencies & visa verse .
One2note: KN , I've dated a few women in recent months & I can assure you , most women in my age range have been damaged , or what people nowadays like to call , "baggage"! The rest are either too young ,too old , or are in a relationship! I've come to the conclusion that I'm gonna be single for a very long time, unless the ball bounces in my direction by pure chance !
In what way do you suggest I should change ? Should I not take the lead role in the relationship. Do I let the woman pay on a date ? Should I not be the breadwinner ? Should I not plan romantic weekends away ? Should I not instigate the first kiss ?

How do you suggest I change ?
Mebbe if you approached a relationship as an equal partnership....ie you don't always have to feel you need to lead.

Women were respected much more in my mothers time. Men would have their bags carried for them. Men beckoned them ahead in a queue. Men opened doors for them. Men paid women complements.. Being feminine did not mean that women were weak, it meant that men protected and respected them more.
Men and women will never be the same as far as gender is concerned. They think and act differently. Women tend to be more caring, empathic and loving. Men tend to more protective, respectful and a provider. We should celebrate our differences and how much those attributes brings to a relationship.

The disappointing thing about men nowadays, is how they break down when a woman leaves them. If they were man enough in the fist place , that situation would never have occurred!

Are you for real with your comments on this thread or is it a wind up?
MisterForYou: Perhaps you need to update your concept of femininity? Just a suggestion.
i'm soooo glad you posted this. i've been thinking about this as i read the posts. perhaps if folks define what is femininity....that would be a place to start? i'm thinkin' from the posts that there will be some differences of opinion about what is 'femininity' because the dictionary defines it as 'womanly qualities'...and that my friend....is pretty hard to pin down.

2intrigued: So, given you own circumstances, would it be fair of a woman to question/understand how a single man who has taken over both roles can be more masculine? Do you see where I'm going with this?
