In general it's the same group of poor and unintelligent men who votes for the popular right. To vote for Mr Big Stuff and feel like Mr Big Stuff when that's the last thing you are, it's almost because they're the lowliest members of the 99.99% that they refuse to consider themselves in the 99.99%. The lottery is the bottomfeeding scab's hunger for significance.
Yeah, the appeal is to the 'everyman' who has dreamt of liberation from life's woes. The lotto kiosks are always filled with blue-collar hopefuls peddling their hard-earned wages on a pipe dream. And the online business? here in Malta, it's worth billions. With the owners paying 25% tax, and anything over 250k is free. Imagine that....
