purchased as refurbished 64 Bit Toshiba satellite pro laptop, it already had but re-installed Windows 7 Professional using a disk that formats, installs and detects the original registration for that operating system, was purchased off eBay. Then first up shut down Windows explorer and win updates, fully installed all files except Outlook of my lawful Office 2000 Professional, installed its correct Sp1, Sp2 Sp3 and later a Sp4 which placed Office in a .NET Framework so it can't get damaged.
Still I've had to get rid of Chrome and even stopped FireFox updates because they jumped into bed with Google Updates. (DuckDuckGo)
Made images and dropped on a new hard drive and besides extensive back up's have the hard drive that came with it, that has the above installed on it, tucked away for rainy day.
Antivirus I use three paid for programs and run all internet access through SpyBot's server. All good
