I’m wondering are people less committed to a single relationship and more interested in meeting everyone ?

I think relationships are less a priority for a lot of people today than in past years, especially those not wanting or trough with raising a family.

Building relationships is a daily challenge and although it tales time to build trust, respect and asense of humor should always be present.

I think we are growing up with computers and all the things around to much, people are to busy on the internet to catch signs that someones is in love with him/her. In my youth children used to play with each other, now, after school they go home, playing games on their I-pad or whatever. We are growing into a world of all individuals, where we don't learn how to show our feelings for each other.

Internet might be the end of the human population as we know it.

Hmmm...personally, I think people are bored with each other because they text each other all day, and have nothing to discuss when they finally see each other.Thats why there has been such a significant increase in divorces and broken relationships since cell phones came into play. No one knows how to communicate anymore, and if anyone is like me, I dislike one word answers. I lose interest very quickly.....and my favourite....a couple is at the same table, no one talks, and they sit there texting each other, where is the communication and love in that?....and so, if no interest is shown in a relationship....there is no committment, if there is no committment, then people are free to explore other avenues, meaning, meeting new and more people. People are just bored, because a relationship is at a stalemate.....no efforts, no respect, and no love....which is sad.

I agree junkie....I think its lack of being present and showing interest in each other which lacks intimacy....how do you bond or get close without intimacy?...people worry about missing the next text more than they worry about the person sitting right beside them....put the electronics down and pay attention to each other for once.....wave

I so agree....no one knows how to express themselves, without, at times, being vulgure....or mean, because they were never taught respect, and, I hate to say it....common sense. Computers, and mainly cell phones took over the world, and no one needs to think, they just do. No one looks up anymore to see things, they just bump their way through life......when was the last time anyone saw the world around them clearly? I am a firm believer in a hug a day....but with the world being as it is today, any touching can lead to a law suit for indecent touching....and so no one hugs anymore....because no one knows what is healthy touching, and what is indecent touching, no one has a clue what the difference is......so, what is being taught in the schools today? We were taught in grade school the differences.....so, why isn't it taught these days? Guess we'll never know.

Locals on CS? As many legovers as possible.

If wouldn't be looking for committed relationship on a dating website.

There are decent people looking for someone to share the good and bad with - go out, extend your social circle and one day you might bump into someone. handshake

People still hug. I think younger people hug even more than our generation. I see college students greeting friends and acquaintances with hugs all the time.
I met someone at the weekend that I hadn't met for a couple of years, and we automatically bear-hugged.
Would I hug a total stranger? Nope. That isn't appropriate. A handshake is sufficient then. But with friends, always.
