Do you prioritize and allocate time for some special people?
What about virtual friends/acquaintances?

I have friends IVL,and treasure my time with them, they are no less important than IRL friends. Many of us cant cope with all the knowledge, experience and wisdom that we have accumulated -or unrealistic expectation that we have been fed with from the earliest childhood , i guess that's the price we`re paying for the Mamonistic progress, that we`re caught up in

It all depends on what your game is.

Surely quality and quantity are both goals in your poor example. I think we are talking human relationships here, quality is sometimes a subjective thing like beauty is in the eye of the beholder, then your quality may be different to mineIf you're a diamond dealer, then quality is your name.
