Single man starts legal battle to legally change his age in order to boost his chances on Tinder
A 69-year-old pensioner from the Netherlands has started a battle to legally change his age because he feels that it will boost his dating prospects on Tinder.
Emile Ratelband wants the courts to legally change his birthday from 11 March 1949 to 11 March 1969.
"You can change your name. You can change your gender. Why not your age?" he told Dutch paper De Telegraaf.
Mr Ratelband believes that he's being discriminated against because of his age, and that it was affecting his employment chances and his success rate on the dating app.
"When I'm 69, I am limited. If I'm 49, then I can buy a new house, drive a different car. I can take up more work. When I'm on Tinder and it says I'm 69, I don't get an answer. When I'm 49, with the face I have, I will be in a luxurious position," he said.
Mr Ratelband also made a point of stressing that he has the body of a 45-year-old, and described himself as a "young god".
He also said he would renounce his pension if he was allowed to switched his birth date.
It's reported that the court was sceptical of the lawsuit, believing that there was no legal grounds that would allow a person to change their birth date.
A local court in the city of Arnhem, south-east of Amsterdam, is expected to rule on the case within four weeks.

Me thinks he is having a major.. mid life crisis Has a fear of death or someone is paying him... Age is fluid!? Sounds like p*dophile talking points. Or he somehow thinks he will become a millionaire out of this. Or all the above
He is a weirdo that is for sure. Likes himself a lot too ha ha Taking 20 years of your age is bizare. He "advertised" what he thinks about his age and body, so now the world knows it too NUTS

Inspired by people who legally change their name or gender, a 69-year-old Dutchman has launched an unlikely legal bid to change his age because he ‘identifies’ as 49 and feels the difference in decades is ruining his love life.
aries1234: Yea he loses his pension and probably some other entitlements,
He voluntarily said, he was willing to give that up. Which is (another) one of his bizarre comments. Why is he so willing? What is he going to live on? Who is backing/sponsoring this guy? It is shady as hell, I tell ya.

The guy is absolutely in his right to ask that, if you have a look at the summary image of the 21 century abnormality , his request is way harmless than anything else testing our sanity today...
PeKaatje: Lol, I am surprised even in the states they now know this irritant guy from my country.
This court case could set a law precedent or a political movent (like LGBTQ etc), that could go global. Especially since the MSM is all over it. They may be crying "discrimination", soon.
He's a dummy who thinks that by cheating his age some how it will change who he is...it cant be his own short comings as to why women aren't attracted to him....it has to be his age.....
