Most people don't change, they just revert back to who they really are. Most people behave extra good at least initially when new to a group. Given time, they start being themselves more and more. Few people have actually change because of anything that has happened here.

Of course it becomes easy to be extremely honest and sometimes borderline nasty when is not a face to face conversation and the people you are flippin' off live across the pond from you.

You and I have been on CS a long time and we have seen the time when CS was chaotic and almost impossible to post a nice comment because of the trolls. CS changed the format several times and it seems that the trolls are gone now.
If one person is nasty it seems that it gives someone else the "right" to also be nasty. That kind of action is the need of someone to belong. In general it seems to me that people are a little kinder now with the exception of a few strays.
In the real world I am very introverted and I almost never speak up but on CS I get the chance to give an opinion on a subject. It's just an opinion. If someone disagrees it doesn't bother me. If my opinion was a fact it still doesn't bother me when people lash out at me because I know in due time they will see that I wrote what was true.
To answer your question I am in the sweet category but I'm really not full of sugar plums and butterflies

That's because people get real brave when there's no possibility of an aggressive (physical) response to any level of provocation.Of course the FUNY side of that is that the dumb asses who 'behave so brave' online sometimes FORGET when they're 'in real life' (those who actually do ever go out of the house) and they end up being taken down when a 'real person' gets back in their face !
