secretagent09: No kidding. I turn it off and it says "Goodbye" but then it turns itself on and says "Hello"

Anybody have an idea why it's doing that.

2intrigued: Hiya C Unplug it and if it still turns on by itself, it's a ghost.
Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii Trigs cheering

The thing is, I don't use the stereo. I've unplugged it many times and the ghost still comes back laugh

When I evacuated because of Hurricaine Florence my daughter and her husband had to stay at my house when we came back because her house on the beach was too badly damaged. They brought their stuff in and piled it on the same table as the stereo. When they packed their stuff leave I noticed the stereo was on so I figured the button was accidentally pushed when they piled their stuff on the table. So, I turned it off and it came back on. It's just a stereo with a radio, capability of playing and making a cassette and playing CDs. The interesting thing is I haven't used it in years. It's just there in case I want to use it.

I don't have the heart to throw it out so I'll just let it sit there for now.

Nice to hear from you snowpea hug

I wouldnt place any bets on the paranormal. But most likely one or more of your remotes are causing the problem. You could also unplug the unit for a while and if its still acting autonomous. Its the unit itself. Thankfully itll gove you an excuse to replace it.
Last minute suggestion. Dust. Grab a shop set the hose to blow.

Yep, then it's a ghost....it's possessed by something your daughter and hubby brought in and I'm not so sure it left when they did. laugh The real bonus in keeping it even though you don't listen to it is that you'll have company. giggle Hope all is well with you little miss pumpkin seed giggle teddybear
