In my country it is very common to hear this phrase "Hypocrisy is part of education", referring to the fact that within the use of even family values one must be hypocritical when tolerating certain things that you may not like. In my opinion, if someone does not like me better, it is to say it on their face, to talk about it behind their backs, or to make inappropriate comments, or perhaps to tell others a secret that a friend of yours commented to you trusting in you, Hypocrisy instead of becoming something modern, should be removed from some rule of education, and I ask, do you feel good when you make a gesture of these, because it is being hypocritical, are you?

Hypocrisy has its place because many people are an example of what not to be in life and are aware of their flaws - "do as I say, not as I do".

Hypocrisy is an important part of learning from mistakes, all of social progress contains an element of "do as I say, not as I do". Today are we not thankful for the fact that after 1945 we began to listen to all the soldiers from the world wars who said that war was a terrible thing to be avoided at all costs?

I must study politics and war, that our sons may have liberty to study mathematics and philosophy

Anybody who understands the better life for their kids is essentially a hypocrite, anybody who perhaps doesn't want someone to go down the same route that they did. Something worse than the hypocrite is the vain underachiever - the failure who would see his kids fail in the same way in order to feel better about his own failure.
RedHeadedTaurus: But seriously, hypocrites suck. I don't think tolerating something you don't like is being hypocritical.
And, why would anyone want to purposefully "teach" someone to become a hypocrite …
No, it's not about teaching, it's about correcting, as I said to talk about someone behind his back, it's hypocrisy, it's better to tell him in your face what you think,

I ain't no hypocrite, if I don't like someone I tell it in his face. Costs me several jobs in the past, but they weren't the jobs I wanted anyway, so to hell with that. I even sended lyrics from Slayer and Venom to one of my bosses and she didn't like it at all. lol.
Political correctness is a kind of hypocrisy, probably the worst kind.
When we're taking care of fugitives from Syria and their sons go to our schools, they have to be seperated from the girls, when it's time to play outside. well, that's hypocrisy.
Saying we want them to live by our rules but tolerating the discrimination of females, and it's beginning when they are still little children. How will we ever want them to live by our rules then? In a couple of decades I am afraid we have to live by the muslim-rules, but before it's that far, I think their will be a big war in Europe between christians and muslims.
Our government is bringing all these fugs to our countries saying it is good for us, but the only reason they do it is to please Saudi Arabia. It isn't good for us, why do you think the populism in Europe is growing? Our government only does it for oil and money, they don't give a damn about us. That's why they are protesting in France, there were also protests in Belgium and the Netherlands.
How will you teach children not to be a hypocrite, when he's ruled by hypocrite leaders?
