One Thanksgiving when I was a teenager, my grandmother got so feed up with my grandfather complaining while she was cooking for at least 20 people... that she threw the turkey out the back door to the dogs.

I went to Christmas Island but I didnt see Santa anywhere, so I just spray painted my wish list on this big stupid statue
I remember going to my boyfriends house
some years back, his mom food tasted so nasty, I told him I was full, and didn’t eat it, so he was like you can take a plate home..
he fixed me a plate to go, when I got home I put it right in the garbage
never went to another Thanksgiving or Christmas eating, I had my excuses down pack

I had a similar situation with a neighbor. She was so happy that I was coming and she made an incredible amount of food.
