felixis99: If you want to stay away from some of the more volatile breeds like Rotts and Dobies, try a "barker". Collies and Beagles for example will bark at the slightest thing to alert you to EVERYTHING. In that way, they are good guard dogs. But they are also friendly & usually safe around kids an other folk. .. and very very trainable. It is a thought to avoid full bred dogs as inbreeding can exaggerate unwelcome characteristics
I know I would not trust Pits, Rotts, Dobies or German Shepherds, personally. I know people who have had good luck with German Shepherds, but I am still wary of them.

Hi Flexii , Thank you for advice , personally I like medium to big dogs , I would lime to have a dog with me at farm .I know I would not trust Pits, Rotts, Dobies or German Shepherds, personally. I know people who have had good luck with German Shepherds, but I am still wary of them.

Famous Pakistani breed Bully Dog is very good breed also as a guard and defender , alert as well .
