Ok, so me and the guy met and had a great night. Then there was the part afterward where I'm driving home and wondering how it went. It started drivin me nuts wonderin if he was gonna call and stuff. Well he called this afternoon and we had a pretty good talk. Kinda like we were before we met. What I'm wondering is if this a good sign or not? Does it mean he just wants to be friends? Should I be the one to initiate another date?doh

He called. Thats great. You need to be friends first and it sounds like he is doing just that. Think of something you both like to do and casually mention it to him...you dont have to directly ask (unless you want to)...just set the bait and he'll run with it more than likely.

Yeah he probably called because he thought the date was good, too. He will probably call, again to have another date with you since it went so well.

help

I was trying to find a thread that would address my questions regarding 'now what?'.

So, what I have done is to suggest that it be a lunch date - maybe get together about 1 or 2 in the afternoon and just expect to have coffee or something light. But then, because we are dealing with strangers, albeit, maybe seemingly very nice ones, what do we gals do next? What is the next realistic move to make as far as starting to get to know the person safely?

Honestly feel so foolish asking about this but it has been quite a while since I've done any dating. Just don't know how to anymore.

dunno

Dusty--whatever it takes to feel comfortable with a guy is what you should do. A decent guy will understand if a woman is scared. I chatted with a woman I asked out for 2 months before she would meet me in person. It took that long for her to trust me. So you take your time and eventually it will work out. Good luck!

If you were comfortable with the lunch/coffee date, do it again. And let the guy know how you feel...like I said, a decent man would understand and not pressure you.
