Wouldn't be any of it happening if there is no one to watch and place bets. Audiences are just as guilty as the guy in the ring with the bull.

That's not a sport.

I'd watch em all the time, If half of em turned out like that.

That would be a sport.

A ton of bull, dancing ten feet off of the ground, launching 12 feet through the air, by jumping on three 2x4's!

If I knew they could do anything like that, I would've never spent half a day on my knees, surrounded by Texas Longhorn Cattle, trying to scare them away, so I could pick peyote.

well, there are also people who thinks shooting deers and other animals is a sport.

Maybe we should teach them a lesson. Start shooting these sportsmen who enjoy killing animals.

I saw Eric Cantona do something similar to a fan once during a match.blues

I think that bull would be the perfect antidote against English Soccer hooligan 'fans'..

IMHO.

I can remember back to my childhood when my parents would hunt and shoot deer to feed 6 of us children. The Native Americans never ever wasted any part of an animal. They made clothing, toys and such.People nowadays have no respect for mother nature.

Native Americans were wise, and also they didn't had all the technology Europeans had in that time.
In Europe there were diseases like the plague etc. rats were walking through our streets, it was afilthy area.
And it still is.

Chuck Billy, Native American, and singer with the trashmetal band Testament had a braintumor at the beginning of this century. He refused chemotherapy and went to his medicineman. A few months later he was totally cured, and his doctors were puzzled.
I guess in nature there's a cure against any disease, except the process of growing older.

I remember one of my mothers cattle jumping a 7 foot gate one time. Most amazing thing I've ever seen. They don't do that kind of thing often, but ya cattle are very capable of it.

Most of the time cattle are just too easygoing for it.

Nobody should be allowed to eat meat, without killing, gutting, skinning, cleaning, and cooking it, at least once.

Meat doesn't come wrapped in paper!

It's not honest to eat meat, without killing it yourself. It's not uncommon to kill an animal, and raise its young.

There really is a circle of life; and corporate slaughterhouses remove that awareness from us, while trying to hide what they do to the meat we get in grocery stores.

People don't learn to be thankful for the life they've taken, until they feel it's life leaving the body.

I don't eat much meat now. If we had to kill everything we ate. Most of us would eat less meat, with more respect.

Aloha aina. Malama aina.

I also don't approve of bull-fighting and I find it encouraging to see the bull getting his own back.

Bearwoman: Track16 You are totally correct that my late parents taught my older siblings and I to never ever allow a animal to suffer.
They also made sure the the kill went as quickly as possible.

I've witnessed too many animals just lay there and suffer at a hands of another.
In my province, many people hunt. Most hunters I know follow the same basic guidelines. Don't let your prey suffer and use the body, don't just cut off the antlers and leave everything else. I know many hunters who are opposed to sports like bullfighting and the idea of a animal suffering in general.

This is my all time favorite thread.

I've watched that bull over and over again, so many times, I lost count.

Too bad every bullfight doesn't look like this one.

I tried to get it onto my phone; and I'd love to have it as a screen saver.

The only things missing from the video, is a matador impaled on each horn.

What a beautiful animal! What a beautiful outcome.

I have no sympathy for anyone in the stands; and seeing this, reminds me of an old saying...

"Hit 'em again! he's gettin' up."

Nam, I appreciate all that you wrote here. I agree- in order to understand the circle of life, everyone should learn and experience a rendering.

I give my love and energy into my animals. When the time arrives, they peacefully understand their purpose in the circle. It is a time of love and peace. Their energy continues to live on.

Thanks again for your words.

Well, in my country there's a national park where there are too many deer. Last year a lot of them starve to death, this year they're gonna kill 1400 out of 1900. Just when the wolves returned to our country.
Properly feeding the deers is forbidden, why don't they just catch some wolves and put them into the national park?

I think the organisations saying they want to take care for nature in my country are mostly idiots.

People shoot dears & other game for consumption.. It's not considered a sport for hunters .
