NOSTRUS: Lots of people ignore lots of people for different reasons ...race isn't a no for me ...I find men with moustaches always turn me off. full beard or clean shaven is fine but a guy who spends too long grooming his facial hair is a big turn off . Thing is not to take it personally . Big beer gut or face with 3 chins is immediate turn off . If a woman posed dressed the way some guys do here those same big fat guys would be first to criticize while oblivious of how unattractive they are themselves. Then a guy posing showing off what he owns his car his house his acreage his big income all a huge turn off .then men say "generous ."in describing themselves ........not every woman is a gold digger . Then guys who will chat forever about themselves but never once ask about your life cos they really couldn't care less except to ask maybe the colour of your underwear . I've given up thinking online is the place to meet know it must work for a tiny majority .but it passes time and it's intriguing to look and learn . YOU CANT DECIPHER LIES FROM TEXT .......

I'm a big guy and wouldn't criticise any woman for how she looks. Let alone call them "big fat women" it's just insulting and pointless. 
Men grabbers? Very funny...then if these men already are in a relationship...why are they on this site... I can think of many other names to describe these people...
People can use any photo they want, not necessarily one of their own. There is no way of knowing until you meet them. Why anyone would put up a fake photo, I don't know, but generally they aren't looking for anything genuine. Online dating is just an introductory service. Actually meeting up is the only way to know if there is anything to build on.

That's it. They're ElvisI’ve been chatting to someone with no picture for long time didn’t bother me I’m more about personality And he seemed like really nice guy . Eventually I asked to see picture as I wanted to know who I was taking to this was met by silence, if someone can’t send one text message with one picture I can only assume he’s married Or only here to chat with no intention of meeting. Yes I feel really foolish for investing so much time on someone that’s obviously gets some enjoyment out of stringing people along but hey lesson learned I won’t do it again .

charles_nz: Profiles without photos are almost all (not all, but almost all) fake accounts or scammers.
Don't be silly. Profiles without photos are just that..profiles without photos..you have absolutely no idea who is or isn't behind those profiles, unless you've spoken to everyone of them...
Getting a message from one or two scammers that probably don't have photos on them is not a litmus test for all profiles....
Ignore this fool OP, he's talking rubbish...also, don't dismiss someone for not having a photo up. Thats a very shallow way to conduct oneself.
MalBur: You'd want to be careful going by looks. Remember Jeffrey Dahmer or Jeremy Meeks. Rapists, murderers and assorted gangsters who could really hurt you sometimes look very good to women. Hard to put energy into a profile pic when you're buried in the woods
I don't live in Skibbereen but I can be pretty sure there is absolutely zero chance of someone who looks even remotely like yer man there in that photo showing up in Cork...Cork like?? Janey Mac..more chance of da Pope showing up hey!!..

Contacted by a lady and reciprocated, got to the point of asking how come no picture ? I'm a private person I was told I thought OK fair enough . anyway to cut a long story short when I did receive a picture it turned out to be a picture of her sister
Situations like that would make you more skeptical , but to be fair I have more of a problem with the amount of scammers on this as made clear on my profile description.
