forgot to mention Kalergi and Otto v.Habsburg!

Otto has been described as one of the "architects of the European idea and of European integration" together with Robert Schuman, Konrad Adenauer, and Alcide De Gasperi.

I may be a broken record, but I guarantee I am right: Britain will never leave the EU in any meaningful sense.

Listening to the will of the people was only "on the agenda" had they voted the way their masters wanted them to.

aries1234: SOME CLARITY IS REQUIRED I THINK:
1. Article 50 is written in both UK and EU law and states that on the 29th March 2019 the UK will exit the EU on WTO terms. Everybody understood this as it was voted on in the Commons.
2. Lets not forget that this Article 50 legislation was voted on my a LARGE MAJORITY in the House of Commons...... It doesnt get more Democratic than that......
3.The ONLY way that A50 can be changed is if the GOVERNMENT(ie TM) tables a Bill to change this Law/Legislation to …...'Remain in the EEA'(European Economic Area).....
The PM has already said this will NOT happen as it does NOT deliver on the referendum to LEAVE the EU.
4.The Labour Party will call a no confidence vote in the Govt. So what !!! This is only 'their view' on the Govt and the PM will and can simply disregard them. The only people who can trigger an election is the Govt. That simply wont happen.
5.The Commons can table all the 'Motions' they want. Again they are non-binding in any way legally what so ever.Again they are only an expression of opinion. If TM's 'deal' is voted down which it will be , she can out of respect turn up in the commons after 4 days and say she will return to the EU and keep on trying for a deal. There is no legal legislation in these 'motions' which bind her to anything they put through. They are not legally binding. Even if a majority voted to say they dont want a no-deal brexit she can simply say she is honouring the referendum vote and Article 50 which Parliament voted on by Majority and we will LEAVE on the 29th March.

So not only did a Democratic vote in the Referendum to LEAVE or Remain result in LEAVE as the result on WTO TERMS on the 29th March , but a PARLIMENTARY vote in the House of Commons by a LARGE MAJORITY was held TO TRIGGER ARTICLE 50.

These are the FACTS , lets hope she has the courage to follow them through.
IF NOT WE ARE NO LONGER A DEMOCRACY
I think it is pretty much a done deal Tom, isn't it? Brexit I mean?

Getting out was never part of the deal. The whole idea of the EU is to get everyone so entangled that they can not be untangled.

I suppose it could be worse. Look what happened to the Southern States in America when they tried to secede (as they had every right to do so) from the U.S.A.

It would be easier to smash the EU from within than leave . Inciting riots , running guns ,blocking trade , beating up french at the border . All that would have the UK thrown out , no question . I will repeat again , you don't vote to leave dictatorships , you fight .

Hey133322332: Leaving means leaving is that not what people voted for?
That's what the people voted for. It remains to be seen whether the politicians will give them what they voted for. I am not optimistic.
