Examples:
Idiom
- Meaning
Beat around the bush
- Avoid saying what you mean, usually because it is uncomfortable
Better late than never
- Better to arrive late than not to come at all
Bite the bullet
- To get something over with because it is inevitable
Break a leg
- Good luck

I find myself lately thinking in Idioms! How about some of your own? You are welcome to list them, from whichever country, in whichever language, then just mention them, for the rest of us to understand too?

The one that just popped into my head:

Tomorrow is another day!

Anybody want to analyse why that would pop into anyone's head, any psychologists maybe here as well, what about counsellors?

I think it means don't waste today worrying about the future.
Live in the moment.
There's enough "sorrow" in our tomorrows, don't reach ahead and bring it into the present.

MiguelUknow: Robbing Peter to pay Paul
Google:
The origin comes from the Peter tax and the Paul tax: The expression refers to times before the Reformation when Church taxes had to be paid to St. Paul's church in London and to St. Peter's church in Rome; originally it referred to neglecting the Peter tax in order to have money to pay the Paul tax

Common guys, you had better help? I'm not doing all the explanations, or the people must look it up themselves on Google, but some are so good, they have to be explained!!!

aries1234: Not enough room to swing a cat
Google:
Very little space, cramped quarters, as in There's not enough room to swing a cat in this tent . This expression, first recorded in 1771, is thought to allude to the cat-o'-nine-tails, or “cat,” a whip with nine lashes widely used to punish offenders in the British military.
