It just means she is not going to force the kid into unnecessary stereotyping. Pink dresses for girls, toy cars for boys, etc.
Sensible parents have been doing that for years, allowing kids to be themselves without forcing them into stereotypes. It just wasn't labelled as 'genderless' before. It was just done.

What happens when the designer baby doesn’t collobarote with the design? The kid will see who you really are, not what you say you are. Parents have genders and who you really are will be the role model, this is weak parenting for many kids in the interest of a few misfits.
