So many people, have such strong opinions about what they feel should happen and should be. We are all individuals, but if you have a lot of people agreeing with you on your opinions, like an online petition, would you want it made into Law, that it must happen, and those disagreeing with you, will be dis-obeying your Law, with serious repercussions for them!
A petition is a request to do something, most commonly addressed to a government official or public entity. Petitions to a deity are a form of prayer called supplication. In the colloquial sense, a petition is a document addressed to some official and signed by numerous individuals.

This is the basis if democracy, for a petition of 10000 you get a response from Parliament, for 100,000, you get it debated in the houses of paliament. And they can pass it into law. So get collecting

Lol. We first need a concept to defend, there had been so many, that the people got very upset about, so which one?

Lobbying in the United Kingdom. Lobbying in the United Kingdom plays a significant role in the formation of legislation and a wide variety of commercial organisations, lobby groups "lobby" for particular policies and decisions by Parliament and other political organs at national, regional and local levels.
I'm not starting a petition on CS, where you can hardly get half a dozen people to agree, let alone 100,000

If one, it will have to be all-encompassing.
Why do people always have to say the opposite to cause controversy, while agreeing will enrich the subject. Or do people write such inflammatory subject, to want controversy?

While I do have opinions, they are based on a broad agenda suited to politics. My supplications are a different story. Postponing the ravages of age. Summing up and realizing lifelong goals, a peaceful death, avoiding the fires of hell and damnation. Sailing to Byzantium.

I stay as far away from politics, as I can manage.
