jimgi: There's no doubt that he's skilled, but a lot of what he done there was for the benefit of the camera. Something struck me though; why would anyone want a ring made from brass, it won't keep a finish. ...€8000 for plumbing fittings.
The camera angles and editing impressed me just as much as the craftsmanship of the ring. A big shout out to those artists as well!
Brass - well, the owners will never have to worry about germs. Brass is self-sanitizing, called the "oligodynamic effect". Brass knobs kills off germs.
As for the price tag on the ring - an artist has a right to charge that price. His skill is quite evident!
And his inspiration should speak to many - a paralyzed man who boldly says, "If you can dream it, you can do it!"

The sheer skill and artistry are beyond doubt, I defy anyone who has commented on here to do the same. The man is a master craftsman. IMO

aries1234: A circle has no beginning or end and is therefore a symbol of infinity. It is endless, eternal, just the way love should be. For many the wedding ring is worn on the fourth finger of the left hand. This is because the vein in this finger was believed to lead directly to the wearer's heart.

jimgi: Could be wrong, but I'd guess that was aimed at me. Given the equipment that he has, I'd say that I'd make a pretty good attempt at it.
Now, I know I'm going to get flack for this, but here goes.
The thing is that he hasn't done much more than basic engineering. Engineering & fabrication is my background,so maybe I'm harder to impress.
On the other hand, people that doesn't know anything about those skills, might be easier to impress.
What really impressed me was taking 2 brass nuts (€1.50) 1 diamond (retail value c. €3000) 1 gullible victim customer to turn a €5000+ profit.
Now thats skill.
Jim, you are probably right on the fabrication and engineering part. I happened to watch his other methods of jewelry production and saw how many different machines and techniques he uses. I was even more impressed. He’s talented!
As for the price of diamonds, I will mention this. Your price estimates were low.
20 years ago the 1 ct Diamond I received was $6,000. Current prices from poor quality to top are from $4,700 to $9,300.
I going to guess that after expenses, his profit wasn’t as high as originally estimated.

Hey Kay. Had a better look at his diamond & similars retail at around $5000/€4400 Regardless,I'm only spoofing here, because none of this detracts from his skill.
Still would say though, that brass is for door knockers, gold is for jewelery.

I admire good knockers.
But you are right - brass is utterly inappropriate for finger jewellery.
