But this isn't what a socialist is particularly in America. By this century it's the few against the many, a classroom warfare against the majority who got invited to wicked parties. Nothing they stand for socially supports their economics. Open borders would see something actually socialist - like the NHS - privatised eventually. Feminism and LGBT enrage the working class.

When you actually take money from the rich and give it to the poor, give the working class that breathing space, women then choose to work part-time in a creche. The outcome is in many ways more conservative than the one that comes from being under the boot of the boss.

Liberal1: Socialism means different things to different people but the concept of Democratic Socialism has been and will be demonized by the Right! As I've said before, there is good Socialism and there is bad Socialism!
Taking funds from the masses to benefit the few is bad Socialism e.g. Corporate Welfare and Tax subsidies for the most profitable companies and individuals!
Taking funds from the masses and investing it into the Society it springs from in ways that benefits everyone in that Society, is good Socialism!
Universal Health Care, higher and lower Education, a living wage and a social safety net that assures the least among us is not left to suffer is all good Socialism!
Everyone in the Society will contribute to these things in the best way they can! It's NOT FREE! Everyone contributes what they can and everyone benefits from it!
The rich will continue to get richer but not at the expense of the poor but rather in partnership with ALL! Every one does better!
