No they didn't. They did it to West Berlin, part of the Federal Republic.

They could tie parcels to small balloons which then deflate once over the border. You could write goodwill messages on the balloons like "chin up" or "have a nice day"

actually I doubt there was a Federal Republic back in '48 when the Berlin Airlift happened!
Actually not until 1949!

The Berlin Blockade (24 June 1948 – 12 May 1949) was one of the first major international crises of the Cold War. During the multinational occupation of post–World War II Germany, the Soviet Union blocked the Western Allies' railway, road, and canal access to the sectors of Berlin under Western control. The Soviets offered to drop the blockade if the Western Allies withdrew the newly introduced Deutsche Mark from West Berlin. ....................

It was hundreds of tons of food from the USA and about a dozen other countries. Mudero closed the airspace over 24 hrs ago. Planes would of been shot down.
Some of his troops have defected as thousands of Venezuelans (which are now violent and setting fires) stormed the border to defect.

yeah, and they also want weapons.
In 2017 we had a big collection on dutch television for Yemen, we collected about 10 million I think. That would be about 12.5 million dollars. In the evening we saw on the news that the big companies (some from the Netherlands) were selling weapons to the enemies of Yemen, like Saudi Arabia.

Oh I think American companies need the low grad oil

VENEZUELA SANCTIONS LEAVE OIL MARKET SHORT OF HEAVY CRUDE

Venezuela was once a major oil exporter to the United States, but shipments have fallen from 1.4 million bpd in 1998 to around 500,000 bpd in 2018 ("Petroleum supply monthly," EIA, Jan 2019).
The sudden embargo on Venezuela's exports has therefore sent refiners in the United States and elsewhere scrambling to find alternative supplies compatible with their equipment.

Supply and demand dynamics for heavy oil are critical to global crude trade flows, yet oil demand, supply at risk and the resulting refining response are causing immense uncertainty for key players and investors.

Our multi-client study, 'Through the looking glass: The future of heavy oil', identifies and examine the most important factors affecting the global heavy oil market to 2035.

Canadian growth shoring up massive U.S. heavy oil market: IHS Markit

U.S. imports of Canadian heavy crudes will approach 2.8 million bbls/d in 2018 — more than double what they were in 2012 — and could exceed 3 million bbls/d in 2020, the report said.

However, IHS Markit said consolidation in the oilsands industry and lagging infrastructure is expected to slow growth in the coming years and may be a source of uncertainty for U.S. heavy oil demand in the longer term.

Slightly inaccurate: the US has flown in food to (West) Berlin while the city was blocked by former East-Germany.

While all eyes are focused on the highways to Colombia being blocked because of humanitarian aid at the opposite side, it's far easier to ship in any quantity of food just bribing a few officials (if necessary). These people have families at the brink of starvation too.

It needs a capitalist generation to climb up to the higher branches and pluck the fruit and do something wildly radical like grow another tree(diversify the economy).

After that will come a less capitalist generation of never had it so good, a generation of low-hanging fruit. Capitalism lets the low-hanging fruit go to waste which is why the economic problems of the 1930s were(eventually)dealt with by the left, you had goods rotting on the shelf. Are the goods rotting on the shelf or are they not there? This is the question that counts.

had nothing to do with low or high fruit rather greed was the main cause

Nine thousand banks failed during the months following the stock market crash of 1929.

Four major causes of the Great Depression were the stock market crash in 1929, bank failures, over-production and drought.

Capitalism always ends up crashing, its the very reason Velezuelan's and other members of the One Belt Road don't want to exchange US Dollars anymore, particularly they don't want control by the lying thieving American government.
America is imploding, now they got people with automatic weapons guarding school kids, black and white people always been divided in the USA, in Vietnam the yanks were shooting blacks when the busing riots broke out in America, they were shooting there own troops, MP's were baiting blacks in the bars in Saigon then arresting them, blacks had there own bars and whites their own bars.
US$23 trillion lot of debit, Obama printed US$2 trillion and paid off some of the Chinese debit they owed, USA bailed out EU twice already and EU bailed USA out the once.
The amount of gold held, and nuclear bombs be the fruits of tomorrows

Agree we have people homeless and going to food banks, help our own first.

I have always seen our country giving handouts corrupt governments don't use money for people.

It goes on and on, when does it help?? Just to keep giving year upon year

"Is this true or not... we have to guess"

It certainly is encouraging, at least in Caracas. What about the rest of Venezuela? And if the prices are so high, how are the perishables kept in stock? Assuming the video is actually from Caracas and recent, I would recommend buying lots of Venezuelan coffee -- Cafe Madrid and a couple other brands. It's go-o-o-od!
