charles_nz: I asked you how it was working out for you?
But instead of answering my question, you have responded twice with questions of your own.
Normally I'm happy to answer questions, but why should I, if you won't?
So far, so good, that's how it's working for me, I grew up in a tough part of Inner city Manchester and still live there, so, ive seen and experienced plenty of ' the dark side' of life. But this isn't about you or me, it's about how we move forward as a society. We just have different ideas, it's all open to discussion, it's not about labelling each other.
charles_nz: Recidivism rates of people who have been in prison suggest otherwise.
But never mind.
That's true, but there are very good reasons for that. The fact is though, the prison systems that provide genuine rehabilitation and support on offenders release, have the least incidence of reoffending. Of course people who have committed the most heinous of crimes should be encarsarated for a length of time that reflects their wrongdoing and that time should not in any way be pleasant.
we lay the ground work yes....but the reality is we all have a choice when we become adults to heal and to be different than our experiences.....so with that choice any action or decision is soley the responsibility of the offending adult who made a choice......
